A closet can serve daily clothing, seasonal storage or overflow, but asking one small area to do all three usually creates friction.
Group by use before appearance
Items used together should usually live near one another even when they are not visually similar.
Put frequency ahead of symmetry
Daily-use items deserve easier reach than once-a-year supplies.
Buy containers last
Storage products work best after categories and usable dimensions are known.
Practical boundary. Measure first, respect product load limits, and do not improvise wall, ceiling or overhead installations when the structure or appropriate hardware is uncertain.
